Robox Sumo
Through training and materials provided by Western Piedmont Council of Governments' STEM West and a PCIS science donation, we were able to
offer an after school robotics opportunity this year to third, fourth, and fifth graders. Robox Sumo is a fun and creative robotics project/competition. The goal of the competition is to build a robot that will push its opponent out of a 5’ x 5’ square in 60 seconds. Participants are given cardboard and a bag of simple components, then challenged to build the best “Sumo” robot they can. See our creations and battles below!
