To Mrs. Park’s Mighty Fifth Graders and their Families,
I hope this note finds your families healthy and safe in these everchanging times. Remember that you may pick up your child’s learning packet from at PCIS in the front of the school (bus circle) from 1-4pm. If you are unable to pick up your packet, you may have a neighbor or family friend pick up your child’s packet for you. If you are unable to pick up your child's learning packet and need access to any of the materials listed on the plan below, please email me at [email protected]. Also a reminder that beginning March 18th, LCS will be offering free to-go meals to any child 18 years and younger. Pick up times will be 11am to 1pm Monday to Friday during the school closure. Pick up at the PCIS will be at the car rider line in the back of the school. If you need a lunch, but are unable to make the pick up time, please email me at [email protected]. Several of you have asked about my health and that touches my heart! I am okay. I’m finishing up my second round of medicines for the pneumonia, so I agreed with the doctor and am working from home this week. I have collaborated with the fifth grade team via phone and online to create the learning packet. I am available through email and Remind and check both throughout the day if you or your child have any questions or just want to chat about what they are learning. Your child can even email me through their school email if you happen to be at work. If you are in Mrs. Nash’s and my reading class, email me if you choose to do the enrichment Newsela assignments. I will send you the invite code to our online class. Mrs. Nash and I have been printing paper copies of the Newsela this year to use in class. If you need some additional ideas to get yourself moving and busy, let me know. I will be working on posting some ideas on things to do around the house and outside that will help you review science topics and other subject areas along the way. I can share those links with you as I create the resources. On a lighter note, COVID-19 has caused many disruptions in our lives. But for these penguins, they are happy to be in the Amazon. Can you figure that out? See the link here!
